Camino 2017 – the sequel

Well, here I go again!

As most of you will know, I am heading back to Spain on April 15th where I will meet up with my “bestie” Rosemary and her sister Laura (also a very close friend) in Burgos. The plan from there is to walk the remaining 300 miles into Santiago together. My pilgrimage last year was a wonderful experience, but it was incomplete as Rosemary did not walk into Santiago with me (let’s pray those horrible blisters do not make a return appearance on her poor feeties).

Tom will be holding fort with Sophie in South Carolina, and cheering me on in spirit as before.

We all know many sequels are not as compelling as the original.  I am hopeful that I will be blessed with the same “whole” experience I had last year – meeting wonderful new friends, watching the beauty of nature unfold before me and having some quiet time to reflect on just how wonderful my life is – primarily because you are all a part of it.
